Are you tired of getting more and more spam? Does it frustrate you to unsubscribe from something and still continue to receive sales information from them, over and over again as if you hadn’t unsubscribed? Do you ever bookmark a website, because you want to go back and read some more, or the website is updated often and you want to read the new material, and then forget about it and miss out on why you bookmarked it in the first place? Would you like to solve all of the above problems? Plus have more control over how much you read? Then this RSS Information is for you. RSS/XML which stands for Real Simple Syndication, we refer to it as Real Simple Sign-Up, is what you want. To use this RSS Information to solve all the problems listed above it is necessary to get more of the CONTROL INTO YOUR HANDS. That is what Real Simple Sign-up does. To do that you need one basic thing and you can get it free or pay for it depending upon the level of sophistication you want. HERE IS HOW YOU GET THE CONTROL IN YOUR HANDS- It is called a feeder, a reader or a newsreader. For those who have Yahoo or MSN you can get their newsreader here through the MyYahoo or MyMSN links or if you don’t use Yahoo or MSN, the free reader I use is Bloglines (THESE ARE ALL FREE). There are other free readers out there that may be just as good but these three I am familiar with. If you already have a newsreader Using this RSS Information, now that you have your newsreader you get to pick and chose which websites or blogs (another name for a website) that you want to receive notification when they update or add new information to the site. The neat thing is you can subscribe and unsubscribe from any feed you want any time you want because you have the control not the other person like in email. You can’t get spammed because you and you alone have the reader (which is like a remote control). For instance, I put up a blog on blogger.com which is called "Achieve Your Potential Blog" and every time I make any changes or add new information on this site it puts out a short description of the new information. This short description will come to your newsreader and if you are interested in that topic you click on it and it takes you to the Achieve Your Potential Blog and with another click it takes you to the full blown article or complete information. Again the purpose is to give you control and allow you to get quality information in a timely manner. You can get feeds to pretty much anything from news, sports, current events, weather, etc. and of course Achieve Your Potential.com. I hope this RSS Information clears up some confusion around RSS/XML and Blogs. Doc Houston
