Most people consider stress a part of their everyday life. In fact, some divide stress into two different types, positive stress that helps you achieve your goals, and negative stress that over time debilitates and runs you down and can lead to serious mental or physical consequences. Stress Management is how one balances the positive and the negative stresses in our lives.
Any pain or disease is due to a disruption in the energy system. Stress causes its own pain and disrupts normal activity, taking the form of headaches, backaches and unclear thinking, and it can lead to even more serious illnesses and diseases. Obviously, Stress Management is a useful tool. (For more on exactly what stress really is, check out my Stress Management Article.) Regardless of the technique of managing stress you use, from the energy perspective you are removing the block or disruption so that the energy can flow through the system. What Stress Management does! Managing stress involves using different ways of getting the body and mind to relax. When the body and mind relax enough, whatever personal judgment we have made that created the original stress is reduced enough to no longer block the flow of energy through our system. When that happens, we no longer feel stress. We can recreate the stress by putting our thinking back on the personal judgment, and make more comments about the judgment we already hold. Most of this happens at an unconscious level. That is why managing stress is such an important part of the modern day existence. To Achieve Your Potential it is of great value to practice useful forms of Stress Management until you get to the point where it is no longer needed. Most people do not get to that point of no longer needing to manage stress without a teacher, but some do, so we wanted to mention it here.
